FortiHealth - Targeting fortilin levels in a blood sample to detect cancer
Cancer is an uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells anywhere in a body. Since its diagnosis is expensive, people often discontinue their therapeutic procedures. For this purpose, Forti-Health introduced a feasible screening test to detect malignant cells. The test will only require a blood sample that simply detect the levels of fortilin - a potential biomarker found in the circulation which is expressed higher in cancerous cells as compared to normal ones. By preceding such a viable diagnostic test, patients who are undergoing cancer treatments can now conveniently monitor their health condition with much safer approaches.
